This week is 'Seachtaine Gaelige' (Irish week) this is a major thing in Ireland and in our school it is the week were you celebrate the our lanuage, our culture and purly being Irish!

Seachtaine Gaelige consists of St Patricks day on the 17th of March every year it is one of the biggest celebrations in Ireland. There are huge parades all over Ireland each town has their own parade. The tradition is to dress up in green, white and Orange and have the time of your life , Paddys day is one of my fav days of the year and cannot wait for Saturday :)

My Inspiration

I would like you all to be introduced to the fantastic Connor Moser,
He is my inspiring to me because he never fails to amaze Connor is the brightest eleven year old I know. Connor speaks fluently in german and in english (better than me). Connor plays the trumpet, drums, violin and some piano. Connors band have even played on national austrian television. Connor is a computer genius he has even planned to do a cpomputer course in university! Connor is a great skiier. Connor gets the public bus into school on his own everyday which I find terrific because at eleven I would never have been able to go anywhere on my own I would never have been as independant as Connor and the one main remarkable thing about Connor is that hes has been blind from birth he doesnt take his disability as a obstacle he just lives his life to the fullest this is why Connor Moser is my inspiration and Iam ever so proud to know Connor!

'You are all winners'

Unforch my mini company Illuminate did not get through to the national finals of our mini company competition but we won best presentation !

On monday morning team Illuminate all set off to Kilashee house, Naas for the mini company competition, we set up our stand made our selves presentable and waited for our time to present our product. We were scheduled to present last so of course our nerves were through the roof ! when it was our time to go on stage we walked up in a orderly fashion and we gave it our all the questions the judges asked some tricky questions but we overcome and in the end came out winning the best presentation! after the slight disapiontment of not getting through it was made up for with newpaper photographers taking pics galore and one newspaper even contemplating writing a segment on us , so we were happy chicas in the end :)

'Dublins hit music station, FM104 Duuuublin'

Last week I was on work experience in FM104, The first two days of it were soo bad all we did in the duriation of two days was upload ten pictures soul destroying stuff! but on Wednsday the week picked up , we recorded a radio advert, got a tour of the studios, met the presenters, got a talk on marketing and sales, got a tour of the road hog, went out with the Alfa MiTos and had an absolute blast!
All in all I got a great insight in how a radio station works there is so much things behind the scenes that you hardly even notice until your told. I deffinatley am interested in the marketing aspects of a radio station!

Midterm, FINALLY!

Next week is our Midterm break and I dont think I have been more in need of time of school in a good while and a break from Irelands rainy weather. Im heading away to Austria for the week with my majer, and Im so eager to hit the slopes havent skiied in a whole year talk about being rusty. Im also muy excited for almdudler which is a famous Austrian fizzy drink flavoured with apples its my all time fav drink one because it reminds me of austria and two because it has a fab taste. Oh and yay duty free shopping!

Saint Brigid

Due to a Migraine on tuesday morning I wasnt able to go on the Saint Brigid Pilgrimage with the other girls, From what I heard they had a blast! They went to her well and they also went to her Cathedral. Saint Brigid is the patron saint of Kildare her story is very well known all over Ireland. There are thousands of schools and Parishs in Ireland dedicated to Saint Brigid.

I would like to also welcome all our new readers from Brigidine school, New South Wales, Austrailia we are all so excited to hear from yous and exchange things about our cultures!

'I'm gonna take you out to Mullingar'

Last tuesday I got up bright and early to get the bus to school. Once I arrived in school class Fodla got our own mini bus on the way to Mullingar.Myself and Rebekah took it upon ourselves to sing sad songs as we were missing a few classmates on our day out.

When we got to Mullingar we went straight into the theathre where we sat and watched the extremly touching plays by our other classmates after we watched the plays Emily, Rebekah and I went out in Mullingar Town to check it out hoping to see Niall Horan we ran into the Joe Dolan statue much to Emilys luck, 'theres no show like a Joe show'

We then went back on the bus for our journey home as it was all to much for me I fell asleep while listening to One Direction on replay hyping myself up for what was ahead of me that night!

I got home and got ready the fastest I think I have ever gotten then hopped on the Dublin bus and went off into town

My night was amazing they were actually fab! I wish I Could do it all again
